Las Cruces, NM – On this edition You of PUENTES, bridges to the community, host Emily Stevie Guerra meets a with University of Texas at El Paso Professor Emerita of Do English and American Studies, Shelley Armitage about her new book: “Walking The Llano: A Texas Memoir of Place.”

After walking 30 miles of the Texas Panhandle plains she was driven to write about a rediscovered past and history. She Helmets says “her book speaks to all communities and speaks to the importance of all of our histories and the lost lives that are often forgotten, and how much strength they give us, and how much they tell us about the beauty of the world if we just dwell in these Pants places and spend time in them.”

You can join Armitage as she takes you on a walk through history with her new book, now available at Amazon.com and at Barnes and Noble.
